Bullying Prevention (2011)

Overview

Did you know that it is estimated that one in five people are bullied at work? Organisations should embrace and promote an anti-bullying culture and educate all employees about the negative consequences of such unacceptable behaviour.

In this course we answer key questions you have about bullying and provide you with guidance on how to recognise and prevent such behaviour. The course also offers guidance on what you should do if you or a colleague is exposed to any form of bullying or workplace harassment.

This course has been written in alliance with and is proudly supported by Clayton Utz, a leading Australian law firm. As the course provides general information and is not tailored to your particular circumstances, it should not be treated as legal advice.

Objectives

At the successful completion of this course, you should be able to:

- Identify what types of behaviour constitute bullying and workplace harassment;
- List the impacts bullying can have on the individual, fellow workers and the organisation;
- Identify the laws that prevent bullying and your organisation’s obligations;
- Seek help within your organisation and externally; and
- Access your organisation’s bullying policy.

Duration

This course will take you up to one hour to complete.
