Overview
Manage Projects will provide you with the tools for more effective project management. The course addresses the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to manage a straightforward project or a section of a larger project.
These key areas of learning address the fundamental principles of project management based around the nine knowledge areas as defined in the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®Guide).
The manage project course will position you to further your studies in project management and gain certification by the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) as a Registered Project Manager (RPM) and to sit for the Project Management institute's (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification.

Once you have registered, you will be sent a Confirmation of Enrolment email that will provide you with further details on how to get started. In this email, you will be asked to fill out additional relevant demographic details; it is essential that you complete all details in this form in order to be officially registered, as well as AQTF compliant.
Objectives
What will you achieve from this course?
On completion it is expected that you will be able to:
- apply project management skills to develop a project plan
- administer and monitor a project
- meet time lines, quality standards, budgetary limits and other requirements set for the project
- finalising the project and reviewing the project to identify lessons learnt for application to future projects
Assessment:
All assessments are conducted online and you will receive feedback from your assessor within 48 hours (except when there is a Public Holiday). Holistic or major assessments may take up to seven days. Assessments may include multiple choice and/or short answer questionnaires, portfolios, case studies, and in some cases video and/or workplace based evidence may also be required. How long does this short course take?
Choosing to study online allows you to study at a pace that suits your lifestyle.
The total nominal hours for this course are 60 hours. This should include completing both the online training module and the associated formal assessment component.

How to gain your qualification faster!
Recognition of Prior learning (RPL) is “the acknowledgement of the skills and knowledge” that you have gained through previous studies, work and life experiences. If RPL is granted, this will mean that you will not have to complete the study or assessments for a unit or units of competency. Please read the student handbook for more information.
