Introduction to Performance Management

Overview

Performance management systems can help to align the activities of staff with the strategies and goals of the organisation. When performance fails below expected standards, it is important to know how to approach this in a constructive way.

Managing the performance of others is an ongoing cycle involving:

- Helping with their day-to-day activities.
- Reviewing their performance.
- Revising what they are doing.
- Helping them to meet required outcomes.
- Ensuring they develop as people.

This course will provide you with the skills to offer constructive feedback to your staff, utilise problem-solving skills and develop action plans to address sub-standard performance. You will learn how to manage the performance of individuals in teams.
